Our hotel this year is the Hilton Newark/Fremont in Newark, a spacious and beautiful facility whose staff is eager to have us. From the hotel, you can walk to many wonderful places to eat and shop, including the Newpark Mall to the north. There are many types of resturants nearby and the fabulous Nijo Castle is right next door.
The hotel has a free shuttle bus to and from San Jose International Airport. Wait time when getting picked up can be long if they are just coming back from a pick up and have to make their way back. Trips from the hotel to the airport is a little quicker as you can ask the day before your departure to schedule a time. The same shuttle makes trips to the Fremont BART station.
